A: To qualify for the upgrade to Vista promotion you must have purchased a PC from Arbico Computers with a genuine version of Windows XP during January 10th 2007 to March 5th 2007.

Q: Which version of Windows Vista will I get?

A: The upgrade version depends on the edition of Windows XP originally purchased.

A: The minimum specifications required are as given below:

  • Atleast 800MHz processor
  • At least 448MB of RAM must be available to run Windows Vista, so a system with 512MB of RAM must allocate 64MB or less of this memory for video.
  • A graphics processor that is DirectX® 9 capable.

Q: What are the minimum system specifications for Premium editions of Vista?

A: Some features available in premium editions of Windows Vista - like the new Windows Aero™ user interface - require advanced or additional hardware. For a better user experience, Microsoft recommends the following additional system requirements:

  • 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) CPU
  • 1 GB or more of system memory (RAM)
  • Support for Direct X 9 graphics with:
    • 128 MB of graphics memory (minimum)
    • 32 bits per pixel
