The devastating floods in Thailand have affected tens of thousands of people and disrupted many industries based there.
Hard drive manufacturers have also been badly hit and this has caused a worldwide shortage of hard drives. Consequently, the prices of hard drives have shot up overnight. In most cases the prices of Hard Drives has nearly tripled. The shortage is expected to last atleast until February 2012 and prices are not expected to return to normal levels anytime soon.
Although prices have been rising for nearly two weeks now, we have kept our prices the same and absorbed this price increase. Unfortunately this is no longer possible because most drives are now costing £40 - £70 extra over the price they were at the beginning of October. As a result of this sudden price increase on such a key component, we have had to increase prices across most of our PCs.
At Arbico Computers, we always endeavour to provide the lowest possible prices for all our PCs and will continue to do so. As this price rise has affected the whole I.T. Industry, most PC Retailers have raised their prices.
Desptie the price increase Arbico Custom Built PCs continue to be competetively priced and are still be among the lowest priced in the UK.
